How to determine what Fence is best for you...

With Winter slowly (but surely) moving away, and the days starting to get longer by the minute, we can all start to get excited that Spring is right around the corner.  It is time to start thinking about your outdoor projects.

I know that you want to get the big Fence project out of the way first, so let me assist you in choosing the right Fence for your needs.
  1. What is your main reason for installing a Fence? - Contain Pets, privacy, enclose a swimming pool, play area for kids, define property lines, or simply just for decoration.
  2. Determine your budget. -  Once you know what the purpose of your Fence is, your price range will have a major say in what type of Fence product you want to use.  Don't worry there are plenty of inexpensive, as well as higher end products no matter what your goal is. For example, if you are looking to add privacy to your yard but are on a tighter budget, you may want to do Vinyl Coated Chain Link with Privacy Slats instead of PVC Vinyl Privacy Fence.  Or, if you are looking to surround your pull with an ornamental style Fence, Aluminum might be the way to go instead of a heavier duty Steel.  Of course there is always the option of a wood fence but it takes longer to install and the up keep is a little tougher over the years.
  3. Check with County / City / HOA Regulations. - You will want to check with these departments to see what styles and heights are allowed for your particular property.
  4. Choose your Fence Style - Once you have determined the above factors, you are ready to choose the style of Fence that you like the most.  Below are some material types that you may be interested in...
