Storm Proof Fences?

With Hurricane Sandy tearing through the east coast this week, thousands of homeowners are facing property damages – especially residents of the Mid-Atlantic and northeastern states.

As people from Connecticut to Virginia mend or replace their fences, roofs, and yard structures this week, many are re-thinking strategies to prepare for future storms.  Which brings us to a very popular question – and that is:

Which types of fences are most storm proof?

If you live in a coastal area that is impacted by hurricanes and tropical storms, we suggest that you invest in a strong fence that will allow wind to pass through.  Our top three choices for you are:

1. Steel Ornamental Fences, which boast strength, durability, and minimal maintenance. Learn more about top-quality steel fences.

2. Aluminum Ornamental Fences, which are also sturdy and long-lasting, possessing the strength of steel and the timeless look of iron.  Learn more about aluminum fencing options.

3. Chain Link Fences, which are cost-effective, easy to install, and allow plenty of wind to pass through.  Check out galvanized steel and color-coated chain link fencing options.

Nice article, Jeremy. As far as wood fences go, post and rail are highly resistant to wind damage because they allow all the winds to pass right through.
We just posted an article about assessing damage after hurricane.
Keep up the good content, brothers.
